About the Role: Bob Casey for Senate is seeking an individual to join our growing digital program. This role will report to our Deputy Digital Director for Fundraising and work with them to help draft fundraising emails and SMS content, maintain the fundraising calendars, assist with reporting, and provide catch-all digital help in rapid response or high-volume moments.

An ideal candidate for this role is interested in seeking out and shaping online trends in an always-changing news cycle, comes to the role with or is interested in learning a deep knowledge of Pennsylvania and Senator Bob Casey, and is committed to working with our team to craft and build a fundraising program that is authentic to the Senator while boosting engagement in what will be one of the top Senate races in the country.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Deputy Digital Director for Fundraising to develop and manage our fundraising program, including calendaring, drafting, building, and creating brand-specific content across all fundraising platforms
  • Take the lead on producing emails in multiple different CRMs (ActionKit, Action Network, NationBuilder, MailChimp, etc.)
  • Draft compelling and engaging email and SMS copy that highlights the stakes of this race
  • Provide additional writing capacity across platforms in rapid response or high-frequency moments
  • Track approvals from key stakeholders on digital fundraising content
  • Monitor the media environment for rapid response moments; stay current on social and fundraising trends, what’s happening in Pennsylvania, and election messaging
  • Brainstorm and pitch new and compelling fundraising ideas that stay true to the program
  • Collect metrics and report back to the team on performance, best practices, and testing results
  • Create graphics and help edit video content as needed

Qualifications:

  • 0-1+ cycles prior working experience (including internships) on a political campaign, at an advocacy or political organization, or non-profit organization
  • Prior working experience writing copy that drives action and maintains a consistent voice
  • Experience in Photoshop and/or Canva preferred
  • Follows internet culture and has experience developing/managing content
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and enthusiasm for data-driven processes
  • Strong interest in politics and the news of the day as well as a demonstrated passion for keeping the Senate majority
  • Dedication to being a team player and trying new things
  • Access to cell phone and laptop

Logistics:

  • Level: Associate
  • Salary Band: $4725 per month
  • Location: Philadelphia
  • Benefits: Medical, dental vision plan at no premium upon meeting plan eligibility requirements
  • Leave: Paid time off will be available per Campaign policy.
  • Hours: Full-time position. This position’s schedule will vary based on the needs of the campaign and point in the cycle, and is likely to require evening and weekend work over the course of the election cycle.
  • This is a bargaining unit position represented by IBEW Local 29.
