About the Role: Bob Casey for Senate is looking for a Political and Operations Associate to join our Operations and Political teams to help re-elect Senator Bob Casey. This individual will work closely with the Operations and Political Departments, under the direction of the Operation Department to help execute event build and logistics.

The Political and Operations Associate will play an integral role in our events team, helping to build events, coordinate with partners, prepare memos, and advance and execute event logistics.

The ideal candidate will be energetic with great attention to detail, nimble, and be capable of managing multiple projects at once. Pennsylvania ties and experience working with a campaign or in a political setting are a plus. This position will report to the Operations Director. This is an entry level position.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with Operations and Political departments to prepare for events and manage logistics, including drafting memos, liaising with venues, and ensuring exceptional event setup.
  • Assist on calls and emails with the Political team to help build upcoming events.
  • Coordinate event RSVP trackers and manage mobilize pages to track and share RSVP counts
  • Assist in the preparation of materials for event participants, including memos and rundowns on event programs.
  • Work with Operations team on travel logistics for principals and staff where needed
  • Prepare supply boxes, inventory, and audio/visual setup ahead of events.
  • Work with staff to ensure proper thank yous and/or calls to participants and hosts of political events following the event.
  • Staff events and drive principals, including the Senator, when needed.

Qualifications:

  • 0-1+ cycles prior working experience (including internships) on a political campaign, at an advocacy or political organization, or non-profit organization
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with an attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience managing a complex scheduling and executing multi-step logistics plans is a plus
  • A positive attitude and commitment to reelecting Senator Bob Casey.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Dedication to being a team player and trying new things;
  • Access to cell phone, laptop, valid driver’s license, and access to reliable and consistent transportation (this position will travel across the region and state on a regular basis)

Logistics:

Level: Associate

  • Salary Band: $4725 per month
  • Location: Philadelphia
  • Benefits: Medical, dental vision plan at no premium upon meeting plan eligibility requirements
  • Leave: Paid time off will be available per Campaign policy.
  • Hours: Full time position. This position’s schedule will vary based on the needs of the campaign and point in the cycle, and is likely to require evening and weekend work over the course of the election cycle.
  • This is a bargaining unit position represented by IBEW Local 29.
